About Playa Blanca

Located approximately 35 minutes from Arrecife Airport, on the Southern tip of Lanzarote, Playa Blanca has progressively developed over the last 25 years from a small fishing village into the “resort of the future”.  Playa Blanca has a different feel to the quieter Costa Teguise and the vibrant night life of the "strip" in Puerto Del Carmen as well as being close to the Timanfaya National Park.

Still as pretty as ever Playa Blanca has managed to retain most of its original village charm and has matured favourably, allowing locals and tourists alike to benefit from this privileged area.

Enjoying the best climate on the island, Playa Blanca boasts a selection of great beaches, of course to include the famous and unspoilt “Papagayo” beaches - these by far the best beaches on the island, with crystal clear waters and golden sands.

The seafront promenade at Playa Blanca stretches beautifully all the way along the southern coast, from where at any point you can enjoy the view of the neighbouring islands of Los Lobos and Fuerteventura. The local ferry services from the fishing harbour are very reliable and Fuerteventura is easily reachable in just a short 35 minute crossing.

Not to be excluded are the most amazing and unforgettable sunsets on the island, found at their best on the coast near Faro Park.

With a grand choice of some of the best 5 star hotels, commercial centres and establishments, and the recent addition of the new and exclusive sporting port of “Marina Rubicon”, Playa Blanca is fast becoming the most desirable part of Lanzarote.
